A palm frond with a few coconuts available on a tall palm tree in Mo'orea, French Polynesia. Being as pale as I am, I took the opportunity to sit under some of these large fronds to keep out of the blistering sun. Although the temperature was close to perfect, there was clearly not a cloud in the sky and I had no interest in getting burnt. Diving was in my future and pulling on a wet suit over burned skin was not on my to-do list. I ate with some of the cruise staff at a restaurant just behind me on this quiet little beach. The water was very shallow for a long while out to sea and tons of small, brazen fish swam around your ankles without fear. It was a nice experience, to say the least. © 2012-2014.
