Some trees growing up out of the ruins of a land bridge that used to stand above the Shenandoah River right before it met the Potomac River in Harpers Ferry, WV. All that's left are some free standing support structure pylons. Harpers Ferry was also the location of the infamous John Brown raid during the American Civil War. 2011-2013.

We have plenty of those supports here on the Delaware River. But, this is interesting -- I've never seen trees growing from them!

Must have rooted and taken a damn long time to grow, but yeah--pretty cool piece of abandoned stonework. :)
